1. 生產磨具制品用的白剛玉磨料選用純度固定爐白剛玉塊，硬度、堆積密度、韌性優于傾倒爐白剛玉，能提升砂輪的耐磨性，磨削力。
2. 白剛玉的自銳性強，在磨削過程中可不斷產生棱角進行研磨，生產出來的磨具制品鋒利，不會燒傷工件。
3. 磨具生產用的白剛玉堆積密度高，單位體積內可放入更多的磨粒，磨削或切割過程中有更多的磨料參與工作，可以提高產品的使用壽命。
4. 電熔白剛玉砂的粒度均勻，對粒徑范圍的控制嚴格；白剛玉微粉經過酸洗水分工藝生產，無大顆粒，兼顧了表面粗糙度和研磨效率。
5. 磨具生產用的白剛玉顏色白度高，雜質少，可添加各種染料制成彩色的砂輪。
6. 白剛玉的鈉含量低，阿爾法轉化率高，硬度高。白剛玉的鐵含量可以忽略不計，因而不會對磨削工件造成污染或燒傷。制成的砂輪可用于醫療、食品工業、航空航天、半導體等領域。
